It was a good ride up to NC. We took the scenic route through the Ocoee valley and the Nantahalla gorge. We stopped for a minute on the Ocoee to watch quite a few rafters getting dumped into the drink. On a day like this, the river looked pretty refreshing.
This morning, in between all of the panic news about the nations credit downgrade, we caught a weather forecast that pretty much said that we are going to be drenched at some point today on Mt. Mitchell.
